End of Life Care
Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest things a family can face. At Sheridan Pet Care, we are here to walk alongside you during this time with compassion, gentleness, and respect — helping your pet pass peacefully in the comfort and familiarity of home.

How Will I Know It's Time?
This decision is never easy, and while it’s a deeply personal one, you don’t have to face it alone—we’re here to support you with care and compassion. We take the time to listen, to understand your pet’s story, and to help you navigate this moment with clarity and kindness. Our goal is to ensure your pet’s final moments are peaceful and free from fear, in the comfort of home, surrounded by love. As pets near the end of life, you may begin to notice changes such as ongoing pain or discomfort, difficulty moving, decreased interest in food or affection, or a loss of interest in the things they once enjoyed. These changes can be subtle at first, and it’s not always clear what they mean—that’s where we can help. We work closely with families to evaluate their pet’s condition through thoughtful quality-of-life assessments, answer your questions, and ensure you feel informed, supported, and never rushed as you make the decision that is right for your pet and your family.
What to Expect
The euthanasia process is designed to be as peaceful and gentle as possible. It begins with a subcutaneous medication combination that includes an anti-anxiety medication, pain reliever, and anesthetic, helping your pet feel calm and relaxed within 5 to 10 minutes. Once your pet is fully at ease, an IV catheter is placed to administer the final medication, allowing your pet to pass peacefully.
Throughout the visit, there is no rush. You are welcome to hold your pet, take your time, and say goodbye in whatever way feels right for your family.
Paw Print Memorials
After your pet has passed, we can create a paw print keepsake as a lasting tribute to the bond you shared.

Aftercare
At Sheridan Pet Care, we handle every pet with dignity after their passing. We use Euthabag, a respectful and eco-friendly alternative to traditional aftercare options, thoughtfully designed to treat your pet with care while being mindful of the environment. We will also handle the transport of your pet to the crematory or aftercare service of your choice.
If you have questions about in-home euthanasia or would like to talk about your pet's needs, please reach out to us at (307) 763-0751.
